D A V I D   F R A N K E L  is an artist and a writer. He is a recent recipient of the Kate Betts Memorial Prize. He has an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Chichester His stories have been published in anthologies and magazines including The London Magazine, Unthology 8, and Lightship Anthology. He has been short and longlisted for a number of prizes, including The Willesden Herald Short Story Prize, the Fish Memoir Prize and the Hilary Mantel Short Story Prize.

Recent art projects include Expulsion , Departure Point, and his decade long sculptural exploration of glorification and vanitas in the tradition visual canon of sculptural heroism and in Republic delves beyond it to reveal its deeper iconographic ambiguity
