Art in the hands of RICHARD DEVEREUX  is otherworldly as it is organic and cellular.

Born in the United Kingdom in 1956 and trained at Portsmouth College, Richard Devereux, is an artist who sees beyond the cellular and immerses one into the granular organism of substance as form and substance as subject.

Pigment dispersal and aqueous polyester on panel.
121.5 x 162.5 x 5.0 cm

The structure of this work incorporates traditional oil pigments, various retarders and dryers, hand-made paper, aqueous polyester and archival acetate sheet. Each piece emerges by way of pressure dispersal techniques; the surface evolves as the pigment is disturbed and randomised by a form of ‘particle interference’.
